Also, when I was watching The Hunger Games, every time Jennifer Lawrence and Josh Hutcherson were on screen, I wanna do this:
They didn’t kiss enough on the cave scene.

They didn’t kiss enough on the cave scene.
It was great. Loved the camera work. Loved that every actor was believable. Loved how the movie managed to create Panem: mostly, the difference between the districts and the capitol. Lovable characters, great acting, good pacing — mostly stayed faithful to the book. :)
I have a little bit of a but though:
I only feel like Josh Hutcherson was a bit robbed of his role. Peeta is wonderful character to play. There were scenes and lines that I think were important enough to establish who he was as a character as his relationship with Katniss that were cut out of the movie. Other than that, The Hunger Games was well-made.
“Capitol-born style icon and District 12 Escort Effie Trinket has been a fashion pioneer since her very first Hunger Games. She has been known to take the iconic building blocks of contemporary Capitol fashion such as sleeves, hairpieces and bold colors and craft stunning looks that go on to influence all of Panem’s fashion-forward citizens.” (x)

I was kind of intimidated by Cato in the book, and maybe sort of “programmed” to kind of hate him, too, so —
ALL I COULD THINK ABOUT IS SHOWING THIS TO EFFIE. EFFIE, COAL TURNS TO DIAMONDS, NOT PEARLS.haasbroek: The Daily Grind (2011)
